when I'm wearing him. This is sometimes a good thing. Meaning I am not uncomfortable or that he is quiet and not fussing while I'm shopping or needing to get something done. But, sometimes I feel bad that I forget he's even there! He's wide awake and looking around and I'm just going about my bussiness with ds1 and whatnot. Then I go "oh, hey baby. you doin' ok?!"

I feel kinda bad about it and I was wondering if anyone thinks there is a such thing as babywearing "abuse". Yes, seriously...

It sounds like you have a very contented baby who is loving to just chill and go about your day with you! Sounds good to me!

I think I'd only be concerned if it got to the point where you forget to change babies diaper, feed baby, etc...then there'd be a problem.

I did this today when I was about to run out to pick up DS from gymnastics class. I almost buckled myself into my seatbelt with DD still in the Mei Tai. Whoops.

i used to do that too, it is a good thing. it means they're totally content and not needing you to entertain them because the world is entertaining enough.

It happened to me too. It does sound like you have a very happy and content baby.

And remember, that your baby is taking everything in all around him when you wear him and that he is learning alot even if you're not always talking directly to him.
So don't feel bad or guilty
