...so what do I knit!! I've been dreaming of the day that I'd get pregnant again just so I could knit more small things. Now I don't know what I'll work on!

Sweater
I don't tend to dress up my babies in actual clothes, (just sleepers and such) until they're a few months. This will be a winter baby though...sweaters are fun to make.

Soakers/Longie
Gotta make some of these. I made a bunch for ds but he really didn't wear them much. I had other covers I liked.

Blanket
Will I actually use it?

The Babywearer
I do wear my babies after all!!

Please share what your dream project for a newborn would be!

Oh, I won't be finding out the sex either. There are so many cute girl patterns but I gotta go unisex until baby gets here.

Don't know of a pattern for one, but how about a nice wool sleep sack like this one? I mine for my little guy - it keeps him warm without a blanket, lets his legs touch each other for warm skin feedback, and works as a diaper cover all at the same time! I just put a cotton shirt on over it to keep his shoulders and arms warm without wicking moisture from his dipe.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

That's a good idea but that picture is wierd...How come the leg part is SOOO big when the waist and shoulder straps are so small?

If you have any extra bits of yarn, afghansforafghans.com is trying to get as many newborn hats and booties/socks as possible.

I'd be making the Big Bad Baby Blanket and Umbilcal Cord Hat from Stitch 'n' Bitch...I love that blanket, I'm stocking up on Koigu so I can knit it when I get pregnant.
I agree with Pikkumyy...that pic is strange. Is it just me or does it look like a hot water bottle cozy? I've probably been looking at the YKW blog too much, I'm feeling snarky.

LOL, I guess it does look a lot like a hot water bottle! Once babe puts it on, though, that ribbing around the waist stretches out, and it has a much more gentle, normal curve from the fitted chest to the looser leg section.
