Yes, thats right. I was walking in this outdoor mall next to where we live, its a super fun place where I like to take Sofie. So I am walking around with her,we just ate lunch, i pigged out and Im super excited because I am really looking pregnant, just minding my own business when this guy (older mind you) goes-in this really gross oversugared tone of voice-Ooooooh thats a nice dress..Is that a sundress? I look him straight in the eye and go
Its a M A T E R N I T Y dress. Ok?
I was leaving the pharmacy the other day and a guy leaving at the same time called out, "um, are you seeing anyone?"
. I didn't think he was talking to me because he was probably around 18 yrs. old (I"m 32) and well, I have a bit of a spare tire-thing going with this baby. I turned around and saw he was looking directly at me, and he asked again, more nervously this time. I smiled and said, "yeah, my husband", and he turned red and laughed and just said "oh, ok." This is particularly funny because it happened quite often during my last pg, too. I don't know what it is about us preggos, maybe we really do glow!
I was whistled at on my walk home from the subway train the other day...I laughed and said to myself, "You just whistled at a pregnant lady!" I was tickled...usually I'm annoyed when someone whistles, but not this time! I guess I need the reassurance that I'm still attractive in my pregnant state.
I got hit on a lot last pregnancy, which wasn't too bad becuase I was single and feeling down about my lack of someone to spend time with anyway. I ended up dating someone that my sister set me up with from 25 weeks till my son was about 3 week old. It was a good way to pass the time. I never get hit on anymore. I think the toddler on my hip and the ring on my left hand are two big deterrents
Did i mention i was pushing a stroller with Sofie in it?
Oh, and I also wear a wedding band even though we arent married yet.
Im telling you-men just dont care!
i've had someone whistle at me when i was HUGE w/ my first one. i was like, "come on, are you kidding me?" it really grosses me out when i'm showing, simply cause they're probably thinking there's no chance of getting her preggers now....
When I was about 8 months pregnant with Mason, I was in line at the grocery store and this guy kept looking at me. I was pretty used to being looked at because people just can't take their eyes off pregnant women, but I noticed this guy for some reason.
Well, I checked out and waddled to my car. I saw the guy in the parking lot. He saw me. I sat in my car for a minute and was getting ready to leave when the guy drove around and stopped his car behind mine. I thought maybe I had forgotten something in the store.
He shyly approached my car and said, "I'm sorry, but I just have to tell you that you are the most beautiful woman....."
It wasn't creepy at all and I was really touched, especially since I had been really grumpy in the store. It felt like he knew I needed a boost and he was going to give it to me.
I think we're all attracted to pregnant women. I feel beautiful when I am pregnant (it's the pp part that makes me feel ugly!)
Although, the video thing is really crazy!
My husband used to tell me that guys are attracted to pregnant women cuz they know we "put out"!
