to have spotting. It's brown, so I'm told not to worry, but we all know what good that does. lol!! It's been the same level of amount and consistency since this morning at 3:30am. It's now 6pm. Midwife says it's probably nothing. Sister says it's most likely from intercourse I had two or three days ago.

So, I need to know, just how many of us have spotted so far? Do you know why? How long til it stopped?

I have, twice. Each time it was just something I found in the shower, didn't even make it to TP. Brown, like you described, though last time, there were a couple of tiny streaks of dark red in it too.

I don't *know* why, but my operating theory is that baby's cleaning house around my c-section scar. ;-)

Heya Jord! I found you! I spotted bright red with Mallory's pregnancy for a couple of days (two or three days). Usually it's nothing but I'll send you lots of sticky dust anyway!

I did (Well, you know that) at 6w1d. Pink mucous, two wipes worth. I assume it was placenta/baby attaching to new blood vessels (but, my OB said this doesn't exist rofl "at least, I didnt learn about it at the medical school I went to!" This is why I love my midwife/MDC) and just a little shed blood. I've voluntarily put myself on pelvic rest for the first trimester, so I can't say post intercourse whether I spot or not.

-snuglove- Are you waiting it out or considering a scan?

Checking in as a former (I hope) spotter. I spotted from 3w4d to 4weeks (when I would have had AF), and then had one more episode of it at 4w5d. I had pink, brown, and streaks of red in mucus. I'm 6 weeks today and most defininitely feeling pregnant. I have not had a scan, just waiting it out on faith and hope. I had a single instance of spotting with my first pregnancy, so this has been a bit scary at least when I let my head run wild with the possibilities.

Hang in there!

I haven't spotted with this pregnancy, but I spotted with DD at 7 weeks and with DS at 9 weeks. Both were healthy babies!

last pg, i spotted at about 5 weeks for almost a week. i had a scan, and a healthy baby that couldn't wait to be born so came a month early and today is my 3 1/2 year old ball of love and happiness (most of the time lol)

this pg, i spotted about 2 days around AF time, it stopped, then 3 days after we DTD and i had taken a heavy bag of books (like 35-40 lbs) to the library and back for about 2 mile round-trip walk so that probably didn't help either--and i've spotted for 3 weeks now, only about 1 day in there when i didn't spot (dark, or tannish, barely there maybe a teaspoon or two a day but enough to BE there and concern me obviously) so yesterday I had an u/s and it showed a healthy baby at 8w2d, heartbeat and all. it doesn't hurt to let your doc know, they may schedule a scan for you if it goes on or you have any cramps. good luck, i know how scary it is, it really sucks. hang in there hon!

This is my first baby too, and I noticed a little pink tinged mucous last night. This morning it was about the same with a bit of brown and a tiny streak of red. I had a long, stressful day at work yesterday (I teach), where I was on my feet and moving all day long. I really didn't take the time to sit down and eat or drink (stupid me). My husband and I were doing a lot of rearranging (nothing too heavy though) the night before too. Also, I had an internal exam and pap a couple days ago. So I'm wondering if maybe that has something to do with it??? Right now I'm just grasping at straws, hoping our baby is okay. I have no cramping, and I have an ultrasound on Wednesday (which I'm really happy to have kept now!). I'm 7w5d by the way.

Best of luck to you, I'm sure that it's normal!

Thanks for all the replies. It really helps to know that it's normal.

BTW, the spotting has all but disappeared now. I think the last of it is just working its way out.
