I just had to share the revelation I had the other day.

I'd asked for EC stuff for mother's day (ok, I just couldn't resist getting a few of those cute little things for DD!), and my mom got me a couple of training panties and one pair of tiny undies. I had so much fun just looking at the tiny undies...LOL...they're just so cute...but I never wanted to use them because I only had one pair. Especially since the morning usually has a couple of misses since she goes so often in the morning, I was always hesitating about actually putting them on her, knowing she was probably just going to pee on them immediately. So I just kept her nakey-butt most the time at home, but I found myself wanting undies a lot...partly to protect her clothing from little "productive farts," or to protect my hands when I pick her up, and, ok, I admit it, because they look cute. Anyway. Here was my revelation: there's absolutely no difference between undies and those bloomers that come with all her dresses. Yeah, the ones I never use because they just make it harder to get diapers off when I'm ECing. Ha! But now I've started using them for undies, and they're so fun and so cute! She's four months and I can use 0-3 month bloomers as well as 3-6 month, though some of those are a little big. They catch enough pee that it's not all over everything, and they're really easy to change and wash, and they're really easy to pull down to pee. And they match her outfits! LOL! I'm so excited; my baby is in undies.

A friend gave me some little boy-ish bloomers (I never knew they made them before) to use as underpants on his diaperless days. The idea was novel to me too- I love it!

I don't care for the underpants with characters or logos on them either.

I think a lot of people have the same dilemma. I have a few pairs of undies, and I usually wait until the afternoon when I can pretty easily know he won't pee for at least an hour after he pees. I have the little boxer briefs and it's so fun to finally have something for a boy I'm actually excited about! I also use little knit shorts as undies on him sometimes. He is wearing size 18m and 2T pants now, but 3-6 knit shorts look just like boxers. SO adorable.
