Dh and I have not been out, just the two of us in, oh, about four years! Since DD was born. So Ive been home now for ten weeks on maternity leave, home all day, often alone with three kids, ages four, two and newborn. Even my teen deserted me to spend the summer with his dad. So I strongly hinted that mama needed a break. So dh took me out! I pumped out nine oz. of bm my first time pumping so thats pretty good, we were gone about three hours and he took five oz. My two year old then proceeded to run around the house waving the leftover milk at his cousins screaming and laughing, saying, "bop bop milk" in that sing song tone like "ha ha look what Ive got" (bop bop means bf and it means the actual breast).
Anyway we went to applebees and had a steak dinner. I cleaned my plate of steak, shrimp, garlic mashed potatos, asparagus and toast, then I ate all of my dhs veggies and while he was too full for deserte, I ate it myself and cleaned that plate! (I normally eat like a bird, but when bf, I eat like a linebacker!). Then we rented a room (blush). My idea. Yep, paid for a whole day just to use it an hour or so. Id have asked if they rented by the hour but was afriad we'd be arrested for solicitation, lol!! I tell you, it worth the money to take our time and to have time to CUDDLE afterwards!! I swear, our kids have radar, they can be way in another room, but let me so much as kiss dh and here they all come hollering!!
Anyway, I just had to share, that totally made my week!
