I am trying so hard to make sensible choices, and lead a healthy lifestyle. On my list of priorities I've put good nutrition, making sure I take an iron supplement every day, staying well hydrated, and getting enough rest. It's the "getting enough rest" part that I'm having the most trouble with.
Yesterday I felt pretty tired. In the afternoon, I laid down in bed for a nap. I couldn't sleep, though, so decided to get up again 20 minutes later. So, when it was night-time, I thought for sure I'd have no trouble sleeping since I hadn't napped and had been so tired. I went to bed at around 11pm, and read for another hour. I tried in earnest to go to sleep at around midnight. But I couldn't get comfortable, so I just kept tossing and turning. When I finally did fall asleep I woke up again a short time later with acid reflux, even though I had taken care to eat a smaller dinner well before my bedtime. Sigh. So then I was up and restless again, and unable to sleep. Eventually, I must have drifted off again, and again chocked on acid reflux again. I used the bathroom and decided at around 3am that I was done tossing and turning. I got up, and watched TV and drank milk until about 5am. At 5am I was finally able to sleep without any problems or acid reflux. I slept until 10:30 and then got up to start my day.
I do not feel rested. I'm still tired. I wish there was a sleeping pill for pregnant women.
