Everywhere I go with DS people are always asking me about my slings/ wraps and whare I got them ect. It would be so easy if I could just say, 'oh I got it at Sears' but it's hard to say will it is a work at home mom located in where-ever and her website is... and for more information you should check out babywearing online. I think it kinda scares people off..

SO I was thinkin of making a card that says 'I'm glad you noticed that I wear my baby. Did you know that babies who are worn often cry less, even once they get older? Here are some of my favorite babywearing resources and the places where I bought my slings from:'

Then I could have a list of places like mamatoto.org the babywearer and all the places where my slings are from (well the ones I didn't make anyways). Plus we have a local free babywearing class monthly put on by a lady who makes slings and wraps, and she will teach you how to use any baby carrier, so I could mention that.

I could give this card to the people who are always saying things like 'thats neat, my daughter just had a baby and I think she would like that', 'that looks more comforatable than this (pointing at their thing whatever it is)', 'what kind of sling is that?', 'where can I get one of those?'.....

What do you think?

That’s a GREAT idea. I get a TON of inquiries everywhere I go, and people usually want very specific information that is easy to access. I totally agree and that is so cool of you to go out of your way to educate/help people.

ya know, that is such a great idea. i really need to do this. i like the babywearer card but that site could be overwhelming to a newbie who is not research oriented. not sure but just a thought. but a card could that included the babywearer site along with a few others including a make-your-own site would really be cool. i'm gonna do this. thanks!

I always send people to peppermint.com. It's easy to remember, lots of slings, and links to lots of resources.

That is an awesome idea! It would be so convenient for new babywearers!

I contacted http://bumblebuttons.com/ about having buttons made for me. This is what they came up with... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...h/79857ea3.jpg
