A dream not preterm labor. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> It was so weird. I have had labor dreams before, but I've never actually birthed and held babies in my dreams. I was having a uc, but there were all these people there. My old midwife was there acting like a doula. I got out of the bed to sit on the toilet, and I as ready to push. She said to me "I know you don't feel like it, but why don't you get in the tub now?" I said, "no, I don't want to move." And she said, "but you said you wanted a waterbirth." So I said, "ok, go fill the tub." As soon as she ran off, I started pushing. I had all this extended family there watching me, which was bizarre. They were really bored acting. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> First I delivered a baby girl with dark hair. She was small - like premie size 5 lbs or so, and I was first concerned that she wasn't alive, but dh pointed out that she was breathing and pinking up. Then I felt another head coming. I asked somebody to take the baby, and no body would move. So I just dropped the baby in my grandfather's arms, and he acted all alarmed like he didn't know what to do with it. And I delivered a baby boy who was small but not premie with dark hair. Then I decided I wanted to go sit in the bath with some herbs in it. Pretty wild, huh?<br><br>
So do you think I find people useless in labor? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I do hope my labor goes easy like that. It was nice. The babies just slipped out. I don't know about twins though. That probably got in my head because my mom said when she found out - you'll probably have twins! I don't think I need my grandparents observing, either - LOL!

So does anybody like to interpret dreams?<br><br>
I was just reading the thread linked to my name in the roll call for my last birth - ay yi yi! But then I got to thinking about my dream... last time I discovered I was afraid of being completely alone with just my children, since my labors have been really hard to interpret. Stressed me out to think of allowing my dh to go to work while I was laboring. But in this dream I had loved ones there who refused to participate - they are in real life people who live very far from me and would never in a million years be at one of my births. It was more like they were ghosts than people. Perhaps my dream is trying to tell me that I don'y have to fear being alone, because I am never really alone?

UC birthing dreams are so cool, aren't they? I've only had one and that was nearly a year ago, well before I got pregnant. No twins in that one, though.

I had a twin dream. It was my second UC dream and pretty cool! For some reason I was in a hospital room but me and DP were the only ones there the whole time. The labor and birth was easy and when they came out I sat up and nursed both of them at the same time- a boy and a girl.
