I just got my 2 year old a new carseat in March. Today when I looked at her in it I realized her head is almot to the top. I will have to get her a new one soon! Aughhhhh! She is getting so tall so quickly! When did this happen??????

I'm right there with you on the height thing. My DS is 2 1/2. He has always been pretty tall, but has shot up so much over the last six months (now its starting to taper off a bit, which is normal, so i'm told)...He's so tall and skinny. Of course, DH is 6'6 1/2", and I am 6', so we were pretty much in for it. I am having trouble finding clothes that fit him...he's got this long torso, and incredibly long legs...so I have him in 3t and 4t stuff...but he's so skinny that I have had to actually SEW or put a peice of string through two belt loops on his shorts and pants so that they don't fall off his itty bitty booty. :LOL At our last WIC appointment, the nutritionist actually had the nerve to tell me that she was "concerned because he seems to be underweight". I looked at her and said, nicely..."Do you mean he is underweight for his age or underweight for his height or how do you mean? Because he is 31#, but he's four inches taller than "average".He's at an okay weight, but he's just incredibly tall." I just couldn't believe it..he's not even like sickly underweight according to their "averages"..he's in the 95th percentile for height, but only the 25th percentile for weight. I get him to eat when I can, but he's so active!
What can ya do? Of course, this will probably be the only time in our household that the term "underweight" will ever be heard....we're not known for breedin' them light over here... :LOL Football, anyone?

Oh, if you are looking for a good car seat with a high back...it might be a bit expensive, but Eddie Bauer makes nice car seats with high backs. Not into the "name brand" stuff over here, but it's the only one I found that is actually true to its name...a "high back". Ours was 65 or 70 bucks...new. It irritated me that I couldn't find one from a decent second hand store that was nice. Oh well. Good luck mama!!!

I've got one too.
Colin is 26 months and we have the same problem finding good fitting clothes-I need a 3 or 4T for length, but he needs an 18 month waist on most items. I always end up folding over the waistband, tacking in the waist (looks silly)
. He weighs 27 lbs right now, and is exactly 3 feet tall. I guess I am somewhat taller at 5'9", and my dh is 6'3"....we're hoping for a super tall kid!

I always get comments on how "thin" he is, I ignore them but they annoy dh....I also always get comments on how he is too big to be carried (when I sling him), how he should be carrying me. I really think people just assume he is older then he really is? Do you notice this with your taller babies?

Yep, people are always surprised to find out how old he is because he looks so much older. He's even gotten looks if he has a temper tantrum or something and he's supposed to be "over that stage"
: . I've had a lady say that to me in the line at the grocery checkout..my DS was having a tantrum about not getting the bananas because they were being packed in the bag and the lady behind me says to him..."Oh, it's okay little man, you'll get them when you get home...but you're a little too old to be having a tantrum, aren't you?"
I turned to her and said, "Well, he's only just over 2 years old...we still have a long way to go." She got this look on her face and said, "Oh my, well, he's so tall and well, I just thought he was about three or so..." And I said, "Yeah, well, people can look older than they are...even at this age..." I really wanted to say, "Yeah, well, people can look older than they are..even at this age...just look at you...."

Hugs!!!!!!
