I have a few questions...

I've been going over my medical records...

My Dr. diagnosed me with CPD with my first. I pushed for 2.5 hours and she was 10 lb . 3 oz. I was also made to lay on my back the whole time I pushed. He said she never went past a 0 station. However, when I was pushing, the nurses said that when I pushed, her head would come down far, then go right back up. So when he said 0 station, is that before or after her head came down? What is the liklihood of me actually having CPD?

Also, for my second c-section, he put that I REQUESTED a repeat c-section. He told me I had to have it. Is he allowed to do that? That just makes me so mad because I could've attempted a VBAC since my son was only 8 lb. 6oz.

It is my understanding that head circumfirence is much more important for CPD than weight. Birthing on your back does not promote optimum positioning for the baby, which is much more likely the problem with your first birth rather than CPD. True CPD is rare.

OBs often put that women request c/sections when in fact they coerced a woman into a c/section. I don't know about being allowed to do it, but I guess they are allowed because it happens all the time.

That's interesting...my daughter was the same way--but she came all the way down to +2 before going back up, and they wrote on my chart that she reached +2. I guess that's at the doctor's discretion?? Like everything else they write on the chart, it seems! Weird...I was sectioned twice for the same problem (babes would not go past the pelvic opening) but the first doc wrote it down as "CPD" and this last one put it down as "FTP." Sheesh. Sometimes I wonder what on earth they learn at med school...

He wasn't even in there when I was pushing, so I guess he can put whatever he wants. I want a VBA2C, but I'm afraid that the same thing will happen if I truly do have CPD.

True CPD is rare. If you had been allowed to be in different positins, all fours being a good one, you may have been ok. I would definitely try for a vba2c.
