Anyone else's skin gone to hell? I get over one zit, then another one comes in. UGGHH!!! Where's the beautiful preggo skin???

I remember this happening with my first too. My skin and hair were awful for a while, and then all of a sudden they are better than ever.

Today I am officially in my Second Trimester! YEAH! So, hopefully my skin will clear up soon.

My first (girl) was terrible. Nausea, bad skin, limp hair that didn't grow, really puffy the whole time. My next 2 were boys and I glowed. Beautiful skin, hair grew 12 inches during the pregnancy, still wore my wedding ring(even with gaining 60 lbs) 8 months along. This time around I am betting on girl. Why?
Severe all day sickness, terrible skin, limp hair that has stopped growing, and already about to take off my wedding ring due to swelling(12 weeks along).

Sorry about the skin. It is awful. My 2 year old keeps pointing to my face and saying "mommy owie".

When I was pregnant with DS2 a friend said to me, "you look so beautiful, you must be having a boy!" I thought this was an awfully peculiar thing to say, so I asked her what she meant and she said that in some cultures (I think she was referring specifically to Pacific Islanders, but I could be wrong) they say that if you are pregnant with a girl she will steal your beauty. She said that when she was pregnant with her DD a boy at the facility she worked at said to her, "You must be having a girl, because you're so ugly!" (she worked at a treatment/detention center for young men with criminal problems--not the nicest crowd to begin with). Anyway, then he told her the story about being pretty or ugly and having a boy or a girl.

I'm looking pretty good these days, so I guess it's another boy for me!

I have 2 on my chin, and I say when they get this big they deserve to be named. So I have Betsy and Matilda, they are b!tches too!

My cheeks look like I have pink liver spots, oh well I'll deal with it all for another lil cherub

It's funny I had a girl last time and felt amazing and my skin/hair/nails were all beautiful. I just glowed like a golden goddess that summer. Plus my leg hair never grew. So the beauty stealing thing, well I'm not convinced.

This time my skin has gotten much better than pre-pregnant, I was suffering from severe cystic acne on the sides of my chin since DD was weaned at 18 months. It's like my hormones went on a full attack of my face
:. I have always had beautiful skin my entire life until then. I'm scared it will happen again
.....it truly was so awful I looked terrible and it made me pretty self-conscious and sad. I have a prescrip from the doc for erythromycin gel(she gave me 6 refills and pretty much told me to get them for later since I have pregnancy medical from the state).

I have to say that I was totally gorgeous when pg with DD, and this time I am glowy, but it isn't as great. I am pretty sure it's a boy because of how I have looked and felt this time. I guess we'll see. Maybe my DD stole my beauty after her birth, hmmmmm......
