I am new to cd and Ecing.With that said what am I doing? I have a little potty that I put her on and she goes.<br><br><br>
my ??? is how often should I do this? I need to learn her cues,the only one i notice now it the blank stare. what products or books are designed to help facilatate ecing.<br><br>

How old is your baby? Mine is turning 4 months this week and I have some of the same questions as you. Today has been my first day ECing and so far I'm 0 for 20. We've been offering the potty every 20-30 minutes. I read that it tapers off later in the day, so now we're at every 30 minutes. Maybe I'll catch a pee today, yet! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

The best thing to do is spend a day or two just letting the baby sit on a pre-fold or water-proof pad so you know the instant they pee. A few days of this can really help you discover when they pee, and if they have cues (some babies don't - we only just got cues after 4 months of ECing!) I was keeping track of wet/poopy diapers/nursing/sleep for other reasons before I started ECing, and I found this helped with the EC thing because I was starting to pay attention to the patterns. That said, I spent a month getting peed and pooped on fairly regularly <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">.

Thanks we have recently caught 2 poops and she pees 8 out of 10 times I put her on the potty. she is 10 mos.
