and it is a grilled cheese sandwich with a little bit of turkey.

Crisp, salty, chewy. And finally, finally my stomach has stopped doing the polka. I could weep with joy.

Sending out calming vibes to all the other nausea mommas out there.

Mmmmm, grilled cheese has been sounding good to me recently- but grilled cheese with turkey? Count me in!
Dude, grilled cheese! YUM! (My cravings are very very suggestible.)

Now I am making grilled cheese for lunch.
: Yes, I am suggestible too.

But last night I had a Mediterranean platter from Pita Jungle and I would have called it the food of the Gods....Hummus, tsatziki, babaganoosh, feta cheese, ..... plus I added a grilled chicken breast to the order for extra protein. Yummy!!

That sounds sooo good! We moved a year ago and I still miss the most fabulous Greek restaurant in the world-we don't have anything that even comes close here. If it weren't a 7 hour drive I would hop in the car right now. . .

But I don't have any BREAD. OH GOD.
I have a grilled cheese almost every day! It's really good with a tomato grilled warm inside.

I'm right with you! I was soooo set for grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. I even had the cheese all sliced. I grab my bread, and there's mold! Nooooooooooooooo

I have decided to go with cheese toast as my pre-dinner dinner. A piece of fiber bread with some sliced cheddar cheese, broiled until melty.

Mmmmmm, it tastes like my childhood!

My mom makes cheese toast ALL THE TIME.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite snacks as a kid- melted cheese.

When I was having trouble sleeping and was hungry, my mom would make me melted cheese. What I now see as an attempt to get something in my stomach quickly, was at the time the best thing ever. She would literally put some cheese on a place and pop it in the microwave until it was melted.
Grilled cheese crisis: now averted. I called DH on his way home and demanded bread, and promptly ruined my dinner as soon as he came home.

I had kalamata olives with lunch and I thought I was going to die right there of happiness.
You know, I'm happy about this thread. For a while all we were discussing is how bad all food was, but how we still had to eat it ALL. THE. TIME.

So I'm happy that we're starting to be able to talk about food tasting GOOD.

Maybe some of us are starting to turn a corner? And maybe the rest of you will follow soon?
For me, it's stuff that has both acid and garlic - pickles (especially if they have some mayo or something on them - ala on a sandwich), spaghetti sauce, ketchup on something, etc.

oh, and I made some awesome garlicy potato soup this week. I'm sure I'll never be able to replicate it again, though.

I make tuna salad and put that on a grilled cheese with tomato slices... heaven.
Thanks to this board I could kill for some KD and don't have any at home. Oh why did we decide making mac and cheese from scratch was so much better?
Aww man!! You guys are killing me!

I'm a strict vegetarian (no eggs or dairy) with celiac disease. I'd LOVE a gooey dairy cheese/gluten bread grilled cheese sandwich right now!!! :nana:
