But last night I had a Mediterranean platter from Pita Jungle and I would have called it the food of the Gods....Hummus, tsatziki, babaganoosh, feta cheese, ..... plus I added a grilled chicken breast to the order for extra protein. Yummy!!

That sounds sooo good! We moved a year ago and I still miss the most fabulous Greek restaurant in the world-we don't have anything that even comes close here. If it weren't a 7 hour drive I would hop in the car right now. . .

I'm right with you! I was soooo set for grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. I even had the cheese all sliced. I grab my bread, and there's mold! Nooooooooooooooo
I have decided to go with cheese toast as my pre-dinner dinner. A piece of fiber bread with some sliced cheddar cheese, broiled until melty.
Mmmmmm, it tastes like my childhood!
My mom makes cheese toast ALL THE TIME.
Which reminds me of one of my favorite snacks as a kid- melted cheese.
When I was having trouble sleeping and was hungry, my mom would make me melted cheese. What I now see as an attempt to get something in my stomach quickly, was at the time the best thing ever. She would literally put some cheese on a place and pop it in the microwave until it was melted.
For me, it's stuff that has both acid and garlic - pickles (especially if they have some mayo or something on them - ala on a sandwich), spaghetti sauce, ketchup on something, etc.
oh, and I made some awesome garlicy potato soup this week. I'm sure I'll never be able to replicate it again, though.
