Yea, I woke up yesterday with mosquito like bumps, and a bad yeasty/hives looking rash on my left side. Then the bites turned to blisters and started to multiply. Now they are everywhere and I want to KILL myself. Went to the doc, she prescribed me Vitamin A drops, B12 supplements and zinc stuff to put on the pox to stop the itching. She said it was primarily CP but that I may also have shingles, hence the yeast looking rash. But now reading the other post, maybe it isn't schingles? It doesn't hurt, just itches like crazy.

ARGH! DD 6 months so far shows no signs, and neither does DH. I am worried about him though because he has never had them! I had them when I was 7, a pretty mild case I think. Weird thing is, my sister, who is up at school has them too! We must have been exposed together. She also had them as a kid. My mom says she had them 3 times. WTFFF! I am a bit worried for DD and DH, she is so young. The doc said if she gets them to give her Vitamin A also. I am upping my SA dose to 2 g and taking a lysine tablet.

PLease tell me how the heck the vax is supposed to work if natural immunity from wild CP doesn't even give you permanent immunity??? :

If this case is bad, you will probably be immune from here on out. I had it three times (ages 4,6, and 8). Only the last time was anything to speak of. Before I started nursing school (which required the vax if you weren't immune) I had titres drawn, which showed I am immune.

Because of my experience I hope when my dcs get CP they get a pretty bad case! Sounds mean, but better to have 1 bad case, then have to go through it again.
