i made these with wool that i dyed.. its not anything fancy, but its pretty soft.. they are made with the free tiny bird longies pattern... i made a few changes when i make them, but i think they turned out pretty well.. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love"><br><br><a href="http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=7466711&uid=3617207" target="_blank">http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...11&uid=3617207</a>

Those are awesome! I love the colors you used. What did you use to dye the yarn?<br><br>
That ball of yarn that says "my next project" is really beautiful <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love"> i lknow!! i cant wait to start knitting it.. its really chunky though and i think it would be too fat for longies.. i need ideas for something to make with it... it doesnt look big in the pictiuure bit its like 5 smaller balls wrapped into one huge ball..<br><br>
i cant remember the name of the dye we used.. its stuff that my auntie got from her spinning and weaving guild.. its not natural, but its non toxic.. itsa powder that you mix into a concentrate with vinegar.. ill have to ask her what its calle.. i knew at one point . when i dye wool at home i use kool-aid.. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> ive knit tons of scarves and hats on the round and stuff, but these were by far the hardest thing ive made.. lots of increases and decreases,.. its hard to keep track.. but you can do it!! im working on the tiny bird soaker pattern now and its going way faster than the longies.. maybe try that one first <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
