I just had to tell someone who would understand! My DH just rolls his eyes.

Our CSA farmers heard about a long abandoned apple orchard about an hour away and went and picked tons of apples. They are ugly ugly ugly but so sweet and crisp, and totally organic of course! They had cider pressed from them, and I bought a gallon and it was, hands down, the best cider I have ever had. I am spoiled and will never buy the stuff at the grocery again (I may not buy the local stuff I buy from local orchards every fall, just not as good!). And those apples are making yummy applesauce, too!

My favorite local farm recently pressed an unpasteurized, all-Honeycrisp cider.

It is just amazing.
