Check out these Longies I knit from the LT pattern (
LT Longies Pattern )

Forest's Longies

There's a longies knitting club on the sewing and crafts forum for anyone who wants to join in and knit some. Theresa's pattern is really well-designed! The fit is awesome- I need to take a picture of the rear- it has diaper room with no sag or extra bulk. The test was when Forest didn't try to rip them off (as he does with things he doesn't like) and wore them all evening.

Those are beautiful!! Did you dye the yarn yourself or did you buy some from Theresa? Those will be an heirloom for sure -- can't you see your grandchildren wearing them?

Thanks, mamas!
It's my first really big knitting project. I bought the yarn from Theresa- I'm a beginner and didn't think I could do a good job dyeing yarn yet. It's the "true blue" colorway.

These are gorgeous! How can these be used instead of covers and what is a soaker? Ok, now I can't knit to save my life--are there patterns that you can crochet or does this not work? Thanks!
I'll say it again Monica, you rock!
You did a great job. Hopefully in a couple more days mine will be done too! Yippee!!!

Is the pattern easy to use? I'm a beginner knitter and I'm not sure if I'd be able to make them myself. I can do all the basics, is there anything tricky like using a cable?

I think I might have to take a field trip over to the LTK website and buy myself the pattern!
I'd love some for Maggie if I even had any clue as to how to knit

guess I'll just gawk over everyone elses

Monica they are gorgeous! So is that babe!! LOL

I've got to get my soaker done so I can justify buying the longies pattern.

Great Job!!!

Yes- a beginner can do it. (I started knitting less than 2 months ago and am not gifted in any way at this. I put the crtotch in the wrong place on my first try LOL). No cables- just knit and purl and some permutations of those. It's in the round so very little finish work is involved. You learn so much, too.

(edited to say- no cable stitch but uses circular needles coneected by cables- not tricky-give it a try!)

Theresa has great pattern support on her forum and there is a group knitting them together on the sewing and crafts forum. Come join in and give it a try.

Thanks everyone!
Julie, I'm looking forward to seeing yours soon.
