hi, ladies. i just need somewhere to whimper where someone might understand. i'm 30.5 weeks into my third pregnancy, my toughest by far. hg with vomiting for 21 weeks (i know, luckier than many), drastic drops in bp, shortness of breath that's most recently resulted in almost blacking out. the last 30 or so hours just feel like the last straw. last night, i started contracting, a LOT. i drank some water, and laid down for a bit. at the peak, i had a contraction that didn't stop for 10 minutes, and then had then every 2 minutes for an hour. then every five, seven, finally every 12, and back to 5. somewhere in the middle i had a warm bath, and a glass fo wine that it took me 2.5 hours to drink. i finally fell asleep some time after 1am, still contracting about every five minutes, but not intensely enough to keep me up. today was a new day, looked brighter, and the morning was contraction free. i went to return some things at the craft supply store which dh and ds went to the bank. i should have known something was up when i felt myself getting really irritated that the cashier was taking too long to do the return. next thing i know, i'm short of breath, and felt like i was going to throw up, at the same time, my stomach felt like it dropped 20 feet. i realized that my cell phone was in the car, and that no one in the store knew to call my husband. i made it to the ladies room, and was able to regroup a bit. i tried to take it easy the rest of the day, but with a 6 year old and a 2.5 year old, it feels impossible sometimes. dh tries to help sometimes, but it feels like there's just not enough time. my mw had me start an immune boosting regime today, but the ctx stated again tonight. i swear i had one that started at 8pm, and stopped at 11. *sigh* whimper, whimper. it just dawned on me that maybe i have a bug somewhere in my lower gi tract. who knows. thanks for the vent

Hey, did you call your HCP? I think with that many contractions I'd have gone to labor and delivery. You could be in early premature labor. You also could possibly have a bad UTI...pregnancy sometimes messes with the normal symptoms.

Please take care of yourself mama, this is a great place to vent but make sure you are getting good care too.

duh. i might have mentioned that my sweet mw (whom i absolutely ADORE) was on line with me until midnight. she asked me at what point i wanted to got o the hospital (we're planning a second homebirth), and i told her although it sounded silly, i felt like i would KNOW when it was time, but i couldn't really put my finger on it. i also know that if i was somehow missing that signal, she would say "you know what? it's time to go". she was also ready to come to my house to monitor if i got freaked, or things started to go way wonky. so, i had i think 3 billion contractions last night , or just one that wouldn't quit. and this morning, i felt a little better, but still sort of crampy. i'm leaning towards perhaps something i ate disagreeing with me, and the stomach cramps causing some of the ctx, or perhaps a kidney infection nipped in the bud. i'm taking elderberry (because i can't find my echinacea ), cranberry, viatmin c, magnesium (cal.mag/zinc, actually), vitamin e, omegas, and a couple of juice plus (because i have them- lol), and alfalfa, and floradix. so, that should pretty much cver infection, and anemia. lol. i'm feeling better, but this pregnancy has been extremely taxing, both mentally, emotionally, and physically, and i'm just trying to rally enough to get through these next two months. i'm wondering, how often can i have a hot bath and a glass of wine thanks for checking in on me, ladies. sometimes the kindness of strangers can have the most comforting effect....

p.s. i see mw tomorrow. i *may* have her check my cervix to make sure there isn't any dialating goint on, but i really don't want to irritate anything, either. thoughts?

I have had a super-rough time of it too. Still sick at 30 weeks. Blacked out during the signing when we bought our house a few weeks ago. I'm still shocked they didn't call 911 for that one. Don't get me wrong, I'm GLAD they didn't...

This one is just so DIFFERENT! (DD1 is 3 y.o.)

Yep I did. I tried to make it to the bathroom, but didn't even get to the door of the boardroom where we were waiting for the sellers. Good thing our realtor was there; she was trying to help me get to the ladies' room. She pretty much caught me when my legs buckled. Then I threw up in the trash can and felt better. Charming. LOL

Hey, mamas,

Thanks for checking in. Saw MW yesterday, and had leukocytes and slight blood in my urine. Been doing the cranberry/fluid push/et al since Saturday, so yesterday afternoon I made an appointment to see our family PA, and ended up with a script for Keflex and an Albuterol inhaler. I have a history of asthma, but it abated with my pregnancy with DD, so it never dawned on me that it was back. I was still throwing leukocytes and blood with extremely dilute urine, so it was time to ty another approach. I might mention that I also have a history of my kidneys not acting properly from childhood, so I had to make a decision that I didn't love, but was really the best- it wasn't worth the risk of a preemie, and I haven't stopped contracting. I'm trying to keep my mental health together, and not doing such a great job- I think it's a tub and glass of wine night. Someone tell me it's ok, would ya?

oh, what I would give to go into labor!!!!!! Do you think some wine and a bath would do it?

I hope you start to feel better soon. Gods, this pregnancy deal was never meant to be easy was it? I keep imagining what this would be like if I'd been pregnant 100 years ago.
