But this is ridiculous. I don't really remember this starving all the time thing happening with DD. I keep snacking on anything and everything.

I just realized, though, on my 4th afternoon snack trip to the kitchen (yogurt, broccoli & ranch dip, granola bar, now cheese), that I really don't need to share ALL of my snacks with DD! She already ate a good lunch and usually only has one or two other small snacks before dinner.

Good one.

There have been a couple of times in this pregnancy when I've had to quit snacks cold-turkey and let my body resume its normal three/four meal rhythm. It stinks, because in preggo life and real life I'm a total snacker. That's how I got so overweight to begin with, and it's my big Achilles' heel in terms of unhealthy life habits.

Usually going cold-turkey on snacks for one day, even if my stomach does bark at me, is enough to reduce my cravings to normal meals for the next day. If it's not, I'm trying to make due with a handfull of almonds, an apple, or a piece of fruit.

...Gosh it's hard not to snack when there are kids' snack foods around, though. Popcorn is ds1's biggest love (autism kiddo, and in his case he loves crunchy/salty) and I fail miserably to stay away from it.

Well I've been the gamut on the antacids, both holistic and otherwise. I was up to 15 tums a day. It doesn't matter at this point what I eat or not. Even drinking water makes it worse. I've given up. I tried to get a Nexxium RX filled, but not covered and was $93.07 for 30 days - yeah no.

So tonight is mini crustless spinach quiches (eggs, parm, and spinach, with some of the leftover turnover filling on top) and some mushroom turnovers I made. Nothing there should make me want to put a fire hose down my throat, but hey, it's already like a volcano in there.

Yeah, my appetite's been pretty normal up until a couple days ago when my tummy was suddenly like, "FEED ME ALL THE TIME FOREVER NOW!" I was like, "Okay!"

Hahaha, I was trying to convince my big sister to have babies last weekend. (She's totally terrified of childbirth and completely freaked out at the idea of ruining her pretty figure, haha). One of the things I said was "and you get to eat so much awesome delicious food!" She says "Well I can do that now." Me: "Oh... no. Eating food while pregnant is NOT like eating food at any other time. It's better. Much better."

My appetite is about half what it was pre preg. I just can't eat as much and eating is like a chore for me. Fruit and yogurt is about all I want to eat. I'm a really fluffy girl, so this is REALLY odd for me. Thankfully, I have lost 10 pounds since getting pregnant. The doctor isn't worried because I have "plenty extra". If I felt like this all the time, I would be lots thinner.

I just tried to explain this to DH.. He still doesn't get it. I made some vanilla pudding tonight, and it was seriously the most amazing thing *ever* I kept making yummy sounds and he thought it was a tad bit excessive.

ROTFL I do that, too. I'll be sitting there eating, and my husband starts looking at me and I realize that I'm going "mmm. mmmm. mmmm."

The really small seedless watermelons that they have at Whole Foods- about half of them are really good already. I'm a watermelon snob too, but I had one awesome one a couple of weeks ago (and then a gross one after that).

I just ordered groceries online. They may not have been altogether healthy....oops.

Right there with all of you, I keep begging my body to give me a break, this is why I always gain 50-60 lbs!

Had a really yummy watermelon (small seedless) from Trader Joes, ate the whole darn thing!

Heartburn, I know it is out of control, but if I am constantly eating it isn't so bad

I cannot stop eating. But it's been coming in waves. I go from super hungry all the time to not wanting to eat and then a week or so later, my body is like "feed me feed me feed me." There is a reason I've gained 23 lbs.

And I have started on the cantaloupe already. The first one we bought was amazing and the second I started eating this morning is less sweet and delicious, but still highly satisfying.

I don't feel so guilty if all of my extra eating goes to healthy-ish things like fruits and veggies. It's when I want to eat the whole bag of flamin hot cheetos that I start to feel concerned.
