Call me crazy, whatever, but I really love these things.

I'm just having a few here and there and I find myself savoring the sensations. They are so much fun. I can't wait until the next one comes.

I remember liking them during my last labor (until I got REALLY tired after 14 hours of pit augmentation [which was also after >24 hours of non-pit labor]).

ooooh ooooh ooooh I'm having one right now

Anyone feel like I do?

i'm really liking mine right now, too. it makes me feel like i'm accomplishing something. and it's exciting because i've never done this before, so with every sensation i feel like i'm learning something...

I embrace them. Each one gets me closer to holding my babe in my arms.

Last time around, I did enjoy each contraction! I would just breath in slowly, relax and have this absolute awareness of my body and the baby! It was unbelievable!

It actually caught me by surprise because I was filled with fear every time a contraction was about to come the other times I gave birth.

I guess the fact that I was left alone with my DH in a peaceful, quiet room (the midwives never came in unless we asked) did the trick!

I loved early labor ctx with my 1st. I had aboug 15 hours of them! I loved it as they got stronger. Active labor, not so much. I didn't have any early labor w/ my 2nd, and I didn't love any of my contractions. But I didn't hate them.

That's exactly how I felt when I was laboring with DS. It was like I was accomplishing something!

I love them and look forward to them but since I have been having early labor for about 3 wks I am ready to move on to the stronger ones! I am ready to hold my babe

I would love to feel something, anything right now. My BH have been so few and far between.

That said, my midwives are both out of town until the 13th (hospital mw) and the 15th (Hb mw), so the fact that I'm not feeling a whole lot of anything right now is actually a good thing.

I just want a sign! (and some sleep, too)

I agree - for me, it was pretty great until transition. Like sex, except with some abdominal cramping/pain - just enough to get a happy endorphin rush.

Too bad the awful part - transition/pushing - lasted so freakin' long!! Otherwise, I would probably say I loved NCB instead of hating it.

Maybe you have long labors because you enjoy those "energy rushes" so much. Just a wild guess.

But enjoy them while they last. Looks like you have 2-4 weeks left.

I always enjoyed feeling the sensations of the baby kicking. Everytime I get a "gas twinge" now, I remember with pleasure the sweet sensation of my babies moving inside me.

Contraxs make me feel horney - it's true! The being horney for weeks on end gets a little old though!

Well, I loved labor, but not contrax. Back labor is not fun. I hope to actually feel one or two contrax in my belly this time instead of just my back.

In between contrax I was all smiles though.

I like contractions too because I feel like my body is making progress with each one. I enjoy the contractions I'm having now because they allow me to practice deep relaxation for labor. During DS's birth I didn't love the contractions but I did not fear them either - I took them as they came and hoped the birth wouldn't last too long

This time around I get all excited when the contractions come. I don't even mind the prodromal labor that I'm having. It all makes me really happy and anxious to meet my new little one.

I've been having the BH ctx since my fifth month, and I love them. I think it's so exciting, if my DH is around I'll run and find him, put his hand on my belly, and be like, "Feel!"

He likes them too.

To me they feel like surges of power. I don't think I could ever labour laying still. I HAD to be up and walking during labour! I was marching up and down the stairs during transition. I had planned a water birth, but I ouldn't sit still in the pool, I needed to be up and walking!
