Okay, so you all know about my tying the flats on method for the early days and how it pretty much died as soon as she got more squiggly?

We're now using rectangular-folded flats inside the PUL-only covers from theECStore. It's awesome. For catches it slips down quickly and is pretty easy to put back on. When we have pee misses I can pull out the wet diaper and tuck in a new dry diaper without taking off her pants or the cover.

Anyway, if your baby is active and you don't have many poop misses, I highly recommend this method. It is good for naps too, but I don't know about night because we go diaperfree at night.

Oops, didn't mean to make it sound like I came up with this. This one is totally by-the-book use the cover as intended. I was just pulling yet another soaked flat out of the cover and noticing that 1. it took 2 seconds and 2. the cover and baby were both dry despite cheap Gerber flats and had to : a bit.

Now, the replacing the diaper trick, that's all mine. See, I'd been stuffing in from the front or back then pulling it through to the other side. What works better is to put the diaper in through the leg hole, first front/back, then back/front (doesn't matter which you start with), that centers the diaper better and avoids funny twisting.

Oh! also, this whole concept *would* work with prefolds.

The pul covers with the snaps? We've been using those forever, and I never managed to pull them off/put them on without unsnapping -- any helpful hints?
