I made my own nursing tea. I'm off of all the domperidone and herbal capsules, but I decided to make my own nursing tea.

I bought bulk herbs and blended my own and I drank a cup last night. It tasted bad (more detail later), but I woke up this morning definitely fuller. Oh, it could also be that DD is still sleeping after almost 10 hours.

So, I bought:
Fenugreek, Fennel, Hops, Marshmallow Root, Shatavari powder, Anise powder, alfalfa, blessed thistle, red raspberry and red clover. I got an ounce of each. It made a lot of tea!

I need to sweeten it. I'm going to use barley malt extract which is also highly lactogenic.

The alfalfa really gives is a "grassy taste". I think next time I'll leave it out. I may see if I can buy bulk barley malt. I don't know if I can. I could add that to the tea.

I'm also going to add some honeybush to the tea.

It is fun buying your own herbs and making your own tea and way cheaper than what is out there.
