I need a babywearing fact sheet to hand out. I am living in my husband's country, British Virgin Islands. People here are only familiar with the baby carriers that look kind of like a backpack- you know the straps and baby sits in it.

When I go around with my son in a pouch sling or in the moby style wrap I get lots of weird comments and some nice questions. But mostly it is negative people asking things like, "Is that comfortable for him?(while DS is sound asleep and looks like he is dreaming of fairies and angels)- I just look down at him and say he seems to be quite comfortable and give a little smile. or, "is that safe?, aren't you afraid he is going to fall out?"

My point is that people here are obviously not aware of all the benefits of babywearing so I would like to keep some fact sheets in my diaper bag to hand out when the questions start. Some days I don't mind but there are days when I want to get snippy and say things like "why would i do something to my child that isn't safe?!" so on those days i would like to maintain my grace and hand them a piece of paper and say "hey check this out"

So who has a good link to a fact sheet with all the benefits? If I can't find one I will make one, anyone want to start me with a list of benefits? Here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head:
keeps baby safely in the arms of mom (as opposed to a stroller)
baby can feel and hear mommas heartbeat and breathing
gives momma a little bit of freedom to use her arms!
babies who are carried more often have been proven to cry less

what else what else?

also I want to shortly address concerns of safety and comfort of baby- best way to do that quickly?

I am going to be the first babywearing activist on this island! yay me

when people ask me about them being comfortable... I say 'of course.. think about where they came from!'
