I need a computer-based curriculum, please suggest???

Here's the deal, we have finally gotten my stepsons mom to agree to maybe homeschooling......she would do about half, and we would do about half. My husband and i have already done a lot of research and are comfortable with an eclectic/unschooling way of doing things, so we are ready and anxious to ge the kids out of the PS system, which is not at all suited for *them*.....bio-mom is not, she still has a "schooled" mentality. What she has in mind is more of a "school - at- home" type homeschooling. What she would like is some curriculum software that the kids can do on their computers at their own pace. Should cover basic subjects, english, math, science, history, etc.
While dh and i have put a LOT of time/energy into researching homeschooling, etc, this is not at all what we were ever looking for, so I was hoping someone here could save me a lot of time by helping suggest places for me to look for this type of homeschooling stuff?
Thanks!!!

Switched on Schoolhouse sounds like it would fit what you're describing.

The Calvert School in Baltimore isn't on the computer but it is homeschooling through a school and they provide and oversee the curriculum. Definately "school at home."

Oak meadow has an online school for grades 5 and up. You'd probably fit into the Waldorf style pretty easily if you are eclectic.

www.k12.com is a very spendy program...but it is very thorough on all the core subjects.

It seems to make this work in the beginning you will need to be on the same page with bio mom. After getting into homeschooling maybe it'll be easier to change things and be more unstructured and relaxed.

Good Luck!
I did switched on schoolhouse when I was homeschooled and it was great.
I would do that.

depending on what state you are in, you might be able to get k12 free through a public independent study program.
this link give you the options for each state:

thanks for the suggestions.

And i wasn't clear in the original post...when they are with her, she will be doing her type of HS'ing....probably a boxed or online curriculum, or software set (the switched on schoolhouse is looking pretty good so far...)

And when they are with dh and i, we will homeschool our own way. We are not going to try and all do it the same.....she gets her "page" and we get ours, LOL!!
