They found em today. Gonna cost $1000 to get rid of em.
We were gonna have the midwife paid off this month, but now we're not sure when...

I know they are suppossed to be 'safe' but I still hate the idea of all the chemicals around/in my house...

Not a good day.

We just had to do the treatment in May. In our case, we had just put our house on the market when the nasty little bugs poked a hole in our wall so we could discover them. We took our house off the market and found out about this unexpected pregnancy like 1 week later. Life has been full of surprises for us!

It cost us just over $1000 also. Luckily it came at a time we had money from our tax refund... but it really sucked for it to have to go to that.
Yeah, the good news is that your house should be protected for 10 years or so from termites - and ants.

That is horrible! I'm sorry you're having to deal with this at all, especially while pregnant. Can you find out the specific chemicals they're using? Perhaps you could go away for a couple of days to avoid most of the exposure?

They said it only keeps them away two years max...
:

but if we decide to buy additional maintenence at $250 per year
: , they'll come out and check every year, forever, and treat them for free if they ever find any...

Thanks for all the encouragement ladies...you're the best.

Hmmm... they told us 10 years, as long as we don't dig in the soil around the house and disturb the area. Also, our yearly maintenance plan is only $99 per year if we choose to do it. I think $250 sounds really high. Unless your house is huge or something... ? Ours is about 1600 sq. ft. plus attached garage.
