For a pair of overalls I"m knitting my dd for when she's 18 mths. I'm hoping a few of you with a similar aged dc can help me out! I need to know the length of your child from the crotch region up to where a typical pair of overalls would come on the childs chest (sort of underarm height, I guess).<br><br>
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!!<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">R

DD is a slightly shorter-than-average 17mo, and measures 18" from nape of neck to crotch, 14.5" from shoulderblade (parallel with armpit) to crotch.) Measuring down the back, not the front- I'd probably do a rise of 16" if I were you.

Thanks flapjack <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"><br><br>
I was thinking that I'd shoot for 15", so your measurements confirm that.<br><br>
Thanks again! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">R
