Cole is really into the "give and take" game lately - he gives me something, I give it back to him, he hands it to me again, and so on. I'm sure you are all familiar with this game.

Sometimes, he gives me an object and then gets upset. I have no idea what he wants me to do with it. It seems to happen with his sippy cup a lot - he'll give it to me, then start getting worked up. I try to give it back and he gets more agitated. I take a sip - nope. I try to give him a sip - no dice.

It's not just the sippy, though - he has done it with shoes, various toys, etc. I don't get it. Any idea what he's trying to get across to his thick-headed mama??

Sometimes my dd gives me her sippy cup and she wants me to take the top off so she can play with it. She does that with toys, too. She says "open, open" and sometimes I have to explain to her that the toy doesn't open.

Could that be it?

Hmm. Could be - I'll try it next time.

BTW, I am a monkey mommy too - we call Cole a monkey all the time.
