DD is just over 3 months old and except for 4 occasions, has been EBF from the tap. I'd really like for her to take a bottle of BM once in a while so I can leave her for longer stretches of time. In the beginning she took a bottle fine but the last bottle was not well received. She only took 1.5oz of her usual 3oz.
It has been 4 weeks since the last bottle and she's now totally rejecting it. I've tried different nipples, faster flow, fresh milk (literally from my breast to the pump to the bottle) and Grandma ALWAYS gives her the bottle (I'm not even in the house at the time).
Milk drips from the nipple and it pools in her mouth so I know she can taste the milk but she just doesn't want it. I BF DS until he self weaned at 18 months - and up until he started drinking milk, I was a slave to his nursing schedule. I would like to avoid that with DD.
Does anyone have any tips? Should I just keep trying? I hate to see 3oz of milk tossed down the drain everytime but I'll keep doing it if it means she'll eventually take a bottle.
