I have tachycardia from a surgery and cannot really do a hard scrub on my floors anymore. My husband will only do it,when I ask
Can anyone had good luck with a steam type kitchen vac of some sort? Any advice would be appreciated. Something that really gets that floor clean, but doesn't take too much heart pumping action on my part.
cheers

The Hoover FloorMate Spin Scrub works very well for us. It vacuums, washes and squeegees your floor, all at the same time. No need to bother getting the more expensive model - the least expensive model works fine.

The vacuum suction won't get really heavy things (like, it won't pick up a coin), but it's fine for everyday dirt. We got it for the floor washing feature because we have lots of pets and wash our floors several times each week. I make my own cleaning solution of water, vinegar and a dash of plain liquid castile soap and off I go.

It has a few quirks, but we've learned how to "co-exist" - don't use any EOs or pine oil products or you'll degrade the internal tubing, suck-up some clean water when you are done, don't tilt it more than a few degrees from upright while you are cleaning, and rinse out everything - well - when you are done.

On days inbetween, I put a solution soaked rag on the bottom of a swiffer and do a quick mop.
