I'm at a loss of what to put DD into at night.

I started putting her in a fitted with two rather thick doublers and a fleece topped hemp liner and a prowrap. It seemed to work pretty well, but by morning the entire diaper is saturated and DD started developing a bit of diaper rash....

So then I switched to a FB at night, with two hemparoos stuffed in the pocket and a fleece topped hemp liner. Last night she saturated (where her jammies were wet) within one hour. I thought perhaps she just had a monster pee or I didn't get it around her legs right, that it was just a fluke, so I did the same combo again and put her back to sleep. This morning, it was leaking again.

What do you guys do at night?? If I went back to the fitted (because honestly, it doesn't seem like the hemp inserts are working worth a darn ) and a fleece cover, would I have to worry about compression wicking?? I'm just really nervous about having her leak through in our bed.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Here's what I have in my stash (as I can't buy anything new... I'm on diaper restriction for a while : )
CPFs
4 Fuzzi Bun's
Fleece pocket diaper
Several cotton pocket dipes (but they wick pretty bad)
3 fitted dipes (with doublers)
2 terry cloth doublers
4 hemparoos
3 fleece topped hemp liners
Prowraps
Stacinator fleece covers

TIA!!!

I'd stuff that FB with as many JB's as possible, but I would strip them first. My hemp dipes work a million times better after doing a wash with 5 drops of dawn with 4 rinses last one with vinegar.

JMO though...... Also I hear that in the automotive dept. at Wal-Mart they have microfiber towels REALLY cheap. You could try using three or four of those in the fuzzibunz. I know it's a really cheap alterntive to buying hemp doublers and they should be thinner so you can use a bunch in them.

I've noticed that if I overstuff my FB, we get leaks from the legs because it makes them gap. It's frustrating as heck, isn't it? I stuffed one the other night with an infant cpf and a joey bunz insert - it didn't gap at the legs, but by morning she was so saturated that her pjs were wet. Have you tried double cpf under the fleece? I'm sure your dd would have a horrendous bubble butt, but if she stays dry, that's what counts, right? Maybe a fitted with a couple of extra doublers. You may have to resort to changing in the middle of the night - I have a nighttime super soaker so I feel your pain. Nothing seems to work! I hope you find something that works for you soon!

I don't have alot of experience (only 3 months into cd'ing!) but we finally took the plunge last week and ditched the disposibles at night and stuffed w/those microfiber towels from Wal-mart. Working pretty good so far!

I have a super heavy wetter, and they only thing that seems to work for us is fleece at night. Are there any prefolds in that stash? We use a premium prefold with an infant prefold in a fleece pocket and that seems to work well. I also have some wool doublers that I put underneath my prefolds (or hemparoos) and that helps boost absorbancy. Any old wool sweaters you could sacrifice to make a doubler or two? They really have worked wonders in this house. It's literally a 4x12 inch piece of knitted wool. It has changed our diapering world forever.

I use an infant prefold folded in thirds layed in a terry cloth fitted with a fleece liner on tope and then a pul cover. I agree about overstuffing the fb makes them leak through the legs

The rash might be because the prowrap does not breathe, so switching to the fleece cover might help. As far as compression wicking, you are going to get that if your fitted is getting completely saturated. So, itsounds like you need a more absorbant fitted (all hemp perhaps), but, until you can get that you might try a wool liner to force the doublers to absorb more and help keep the diaper from getting so saturated. I use a crocheted wool liner everynight under my doubler and it really works. You can get these for about $5.

does she wake up at all at night? could you change her once? i'd try the FB with a CPF folded the wrong way and then a JB BELOW that and maybe a large wool liner under it all. actually, i'd add a wool liner to all of your pockets and fitted/cover combos, especially if they are wicking or leaking that much.
good luck!!!
