Can someone who has made a diaper cake before please tell me how many prefolds I'll need? What sizes should I get, and how many of each?

Any other tips would be wonderful. And if there is a diaper store offering free shipping, I'd love to know where!

Thanks so much!

Ive never made one before but I was thinking maybe to make the top w/ 6 preemies, the middle w/ 6-12 infants and then the bottom w/ 12 premiums? Im not sure how much you are looking to spend so if this is crazy then maybe just buy a dozen infants and call it a day www.naturalbabies.com is great for the 3.85 flat rate! PLus the prices are ok too!

I would like to do a 3 tier cake using mostly infant size. I think having a few (6 or so) preemie and 6 or so regulars would be nice. I want to hide a few proraps in there as well.

This is for my husband's aunt. My MIL is footing the bill if I put it together :LOL She didn't tell me how much she wants to spend, but I'm sure she would like it to be $50 or under.

I'm going to price some things at natural babies. Thanks for the tips ladies. Sherry - and advice you have would be greatly appreciated

I made mine with a dozen infant sized but it would have been a lot nicer looking with 10 infant and 2 premium. Because the infants don't fit all the way around on the lower levels once you have layered a few, the premium length would work best.
