We have a brand new Wonderoo that we've been using for 2 nights now. We are having Major Leaking. It looks like DD is kicking and squirming so much that the Wonderoo slides off and is falling off her bottom. Not totally, but her butt crack is showing. The back part of the prefold (stuffed inside) is wet, but the front part is totally dry. And her entire back is wet, and her little crib protector is wet, and the sheet below that is wet!

Tonight I put it on tighter, but the elastic is very strong and leaves marks. Not too bad, but seems uncomfortable. I also usaed the medium rise setting. The tallest one leaves big gaps in the leg holes. She's only about 12 pounds, 2.5 months old if that makes any difference.

The first night, I did put a doubler on top of the wonderoo, instead of inside the pocket. Lastnight I just put a liner on top. Is that a no no? I was hoping to keep it pretty and poop free in case I need to seell/trade it.

She's been able to kick/squirm out of a prefold set up as well, but only occasionally.

HELP!

What Can I do?

I've only been using my Wonderoos on my 26 month old, but I did make the mistake of putting a liner on top and he leaked all over the place. I would try it without the liner, and maybe 2 hemp inserts (or 1 hemp insert and a microfiber towel, or a trifolded prefold only). Try it during the day just to see how she sleeps. It could be that her sleeping position is causing a gap. Do you have it snug enough in the waist?

Hi Stef,
You definitely need to use them as a pocket diaper meaning put your insert inside the pocket not on top. Also, I've found that they work much better if you snap down the rise snaps BEFORE stuffing it. I would use either a hemp insert or prefold folded in thirds for stuffing and see how it goes!!

Don't worry about stains. They come really clean. My son is 5 weeks and 11 lbs. We don't have any problems. We use one insert at day and two for night.
Snap the rise before stuffing and pull the wings tight. When snapped I have either none or one snap still showing. (does that make since?)
When you put it on, make sure to pull the diaper up more in the back and have the front lower on her / his belly. So there is no plumbers smile going on.

There is no way that I could get by with a Wonderoo at night. They did not even work well for us in the daytime. I hope you find something that works for you soon, but it may not be a Wonderoo.

We HAVE to use a prefold underneath the hemp insert we have. But to be honest I doubt we could use them over night. THe prefold we have takes up sooo much space, he would never be comfy with more than one, and we would definately need two.
