After two years with 3 of us in a double sized bed at night I took the plunge and ordered a organic cotton and latex king sized futon and platform frame

. before I was big, we all slept just fine but now I don't have enough room to move around at night and I am getting really sore in my hips! Plus there was really no way we were going to fit without a king bed and at least now I get to have a more comfortable 3rd trimester before the new one gets here!

then we got the king and it was just so much different... we could actually be comfortable... all of us at the same time and still have room to move and turn...

I'm SO jealous of you! The rooms in our house are too small for a king... otherwise I'd be all over getting one.

we also just bought a king size bed (very similar to yours, i think. good choice.

) and i love it. we are going to have 2 toddlers and a newborn when this baby comes, so we decided we really needed to upgrade. it is *so* nice! now if i can get my 17 month old to stop freaking out if he touches someone other than me, i'll be set.

Congrats! I just got a king this pregnancy too (altho' not organic...I'm jealous of yours!

) at first I second-guessed myself due to ppl's criticisms-your apartment is too small, you will overcrowd the room, queen is enough,

but now I'm excited to have all this space for the new babe... and we have no space for a crib if DH changes his mind on the cosleeping! (over my dead body, right?

)

Our king size bed was one of our best 'we can't afford this' baby investments. Skip the activity center, bouncy seat, super-funky stroller, etc and get a bed that all of you can sleep happily in!

And you know, after almost 2 years of co-sleeping, my daughter transitioned very easily to sleeping by herself in her twin bed. Now I look forward to when she climbs in for cuddles around 6 am.
