Yesterday I started spotting and after three losses, I was pretty devastated. But I called the midwives and they said because my numbers were good, that it was unlikely that this was caused by a low progesterone count (the cause for my previous miscarraiges - we think). So, I decided to go in for an U/S today because I was losing my mind with worry. We saw a healthy baby with a heartbeat of 126. I am exactly six weeks along.

YIPPEE!!! I feel like I can finally get excited about this baby!!!

Congrats! That's wonderful! I wish I could have an early ultrasound but I'm not getting any prenatal care yet.

Congratulations, Jennifer. I'm sure you know that spotting doesn't always signal a problem, and in your case, it sounds like everything is going to be just fine! Thanks for sharing the good news.

Heavenly, why aren't you getting prenatal care yet? Do you want it right now and can't access it, or are you in a situation where you just have to wait a little longer before you see a health care provider? I hope all is well with you.

I'm so happy to hear that, Jennifer!! I was praying for you after you posted on the "Let's Pray for each other" thread about the spotting.

I've never had an early ultrasound before, but I am scheduled for one on the 23rd to confirm the pregnancy dates (because my uterus felt bigger than the OB expected when he examined me this week). I'm pretty excited to see the baby and the heartbeat - I'll be almost 8 weeks then so I know we'll be able to see a good bit. I've always had to wait until 10-11 weeks to hear the heartbeat with the doppler, so it will be cool to hear it so much earlier.

Congrats!!
My OB has me scheduled for an US in 4 weeks when I will be 8 weeks along. Until then we are doing nothing, but me taking my prenatles and such. he said if I have a problem I can come in sooner, but with my previous m/c I wish it was sooner!
