I'm very excited. It is only 15 hours a week right now and only guaranteed for a year. BUt I've been assured they will have more for me to do when my year is up

I was able to work my schedule so I work when dh is off. So, he gets them all day monday and then 4 hours on Wed and Thur mornings. It is working out well too...at least for the first week

And it is literaly a 2 minute walk and an elevator ride to my office So, no fuel cost!

The problem is that dh is not going to be having those days off in the fall, just for the summer he is free then. So, what I was tihnking was changings to three 5 hour days and hiring a sitter for 10 of them and lett dh hav th other 5.

How much am I Looking at for 10 hours a week in cost? 2 kids 3yrs and 1yr?

I guess that totally depends on where you live as rates are so different everywhere. Are you set on a sitter? For your kids' ages, there may be some great centres available that could take both of them. A friend of mine has her little guy in a montessori program for 15hrs/wk. Some centres are flexible with price ranges depending on how much you use them. Congratulations on your new job!!

You really need to call around to some centers or sitters in your area to find out. Start by asking friends, neighbors, co-workers if they know anyone. Start networking IRL.

You may also want to call around and see if there are any preschools that will work with those hours since it is half days - at your boys' ages I bet they'd like that kind of interaction.

I've looked into pre-school for TRacy and I can't afford to do that and have a sitter for Bryce.

They have already asked if I could increase my hours and I said not ill Fall and only if you raise my rate $2 an hour. If they are able to do that I can afford it but I'll be putting all the extra into chilcare

I have some options and a line on a sitter. She doesn't have a set fee but I didn't know if I could get an idea.
