I have been part time cloth diapering my 18 month old twins for some time. I am really getting tired of the work that's involved with cloth diapers. especially the poopy diapers. I have tried so many kinds, including Motherease, prefolds, and Fuzzi Bunz. I have tried liners, since my diaper sprayer will not longer fit on our toilet.

Anyway, I am thinking of going with disposables. I wanted to get some recommendations. I will say that I have tried 7th generation diapers but they give my daughter rashes. Do you have any other "greener" diapers that you recommend?

I really don't want to give up cloth diapering. I just don't want to deal with the mess, and the long washing routine anymore.

Please help.

Gosh you are one busy mommy and I totally understand about the time consumption. I have tried the NATURE BABYCARE disposables and liked them when my little guy was newborn and we hadnt started CDing. I dont know if G diapers appeal to you anyway if they would be a hapy medium for you or not! All I can say is you made it a long way either way...and you arent far form potty training days..right??

I feel your pain.
Does your city/area have a diaper service? That might be a nice alternative, and often works out to be about the same price as using disposables (the services always say it's cheaper, but my math says it's a close call).

I really wish we had a diaper service nearby, but we don't. I tried the gdiapers but found them quite expensive and not very great with poops. How were nature babycare diapers?

FWIW when dd was a toddler my "routine" was pretty simple.

Shake poopy diaper over toilet- anything that fell off fine...
toss diaper in dry pail

when full- put in washer
rinse
wash- (full cycle hot-cold with deterg.)
turn dial back to wash- run again through wash cycle (hot)
if I made it in time, after wash cycle turn to spin (skipping rinse)
toss in dryer

I've used the Nature Babycare nappies at nights for ages, and find them quite good. The absorbency is great. The only thing I'm not fussed on is the shape - I find them really long in the body, and my little guy has a pot belly, so nappies with a lower rise which can fasten under his belly seem to be more comfy.

Wrt cloth nappies, I don't treat poo any different from wee, other than shaking off what I can into the toilet before putting it into the nappy bucket. I don't scrape, I don't spray, I don't pre-soak or pre-rinse. I do use microfibre liners, just to stop my nice nappies staining. And I've also used flushable liners in the past - liner, poo and all just goes down the toilet, then treat the nappy the same as you would a wet one (for me, a hot, heavy duty wash and whatever poo remnants remain get washed down the pipes). I only stopped using flushable liners because of the price consideration (they were nearly $20 for 75 of them!!).

Having said all that, I do put DS in sposies overnight, because he ALWAYS does a nighttime/early morning poo, and it's one less poo that I have to deal with.
Do your LO's poo at regular times during the day? Perhaps you could use sposies for those times, and cloth for the rest of the time.

Or, you could try the Nature Babycare nappies

(just realised I've used my Aussie phraseology all through this post lol. Nappies = diapers)

I'm not sure, sorry. I haven't heard of the Nature Boy Girl ones.
Hopefully someone else will know.
