Monday we went to Myrtle Beach & walked the boardwalk a LOT, it was pretty tough on me as most walking has been the last few months this pg. Going up hills was the hardest part for me, although down hill was no picnic either.

About an hour after the walking at dinner I started having a pain 3/4 of the way down my rib cage on the left side, right next to my spine. It reminded me of a stitch you get when you run sometimes? It only hurt when I inhaled though & some pressure seemed to help. The spot was maybe 2.5 inches horizontally across.

Yesterday it no longer hurt to breathe, however the spot where the pain was feels bruised & very tender to the touch. Today the bruised feeling is spreading quite a bit & the pain when I inhale is back.

Does it sound like a pulled muscle to anyone else? I'm debating bugging the dr's office if the inhalation pain continues/gets worse again. I only ask because I hate the feeling I get when they all but pat me on the head & tell me to go play because whatever I ask is 'normal'.

This sounds really really similar to what I felt when 32 weeks pg with my dd. It happened the weekend we moved, so I know I was doing more strenuous things than usual.

I did call the ob and they had me come in and check things out. The result was that it was normal, I can't remember exactly. And it did go away in a couple days.

If I felt it again, though, I'd be calling my ob again and going in again just to be sure it was nothing--so if it's bothering you, definitely give them a call.
