I have recently experienced a drop in milk and a switch to colostrum as I am in the third trimester. Kiera used to nurse like 8-10 times a day and now it is more like 3 or 4 - that includes nighttime nursings as well. When I ask if she wants to "na na" often she will say, "No". I am just sad. I was actually looking forward to tandem nursing my girls. Yesterday she only nursed twice. I know it is natural for children to wean but I was not expecting it to happen so soon - Mama isn't ready yet! Just needed a shoulder to cry on...thanks for listening.

Although I was not pregnant, my DS started refusing to nurse at 16 months. I tried offering regularly and he made it really clear that he just wasn't interested. I even tried doing some midnight nursing to keep my supply up and perhaps reinterest him. Alas, no luck. Its such a big milestone. I thought for sure we'd go to at least 2 but ... he had other plans.
