DD, 4.25 years, is down to the once-a-week nursing that I know signals imminent weaning... I think I'm ready. I think she's ready. Last night I lay awake at 12:30 and had this moment where I was *sure* it was over. She hadn't asked in about a week. We talked about nursing a few days ago and she said that she wasn't really thinking about it much - but liked to cuddle now. I laid there awake and got nostalgic, cried a little, was so sure this was it and it was keeping me awake so I got out of bed and even wrote a few pages about my memories and feelings.

Then she asked twice today!!!! :

How many times will I go through the "last" time? It's kind of an emotional roller coaster!

I know that must be emotional for you.
One day she will be done for sure, and you will be thinking back on these days with very fond memories.
