Ok, I wanna cd, my son is 14 months. What is the bare minimum I need? Money is super, super tight right now. i have been thinking about cd for awhile and found out something nasty about sposies, and don't want to use them any longer than I absolutely HAVE to. So, what do I need?

Um, the bare minumum? The least expensive you can get by on? 24 premium prefolds ($50), 10 pairs of pull on pants - nylon ($40-75), 2 snappis ($6).

Total: $96-$124-ish! lol

Now if you want it used go over to the Trading Post and you can probably get some good deals on both covers and prefolds (and snappis).

PM me. I can send you some covers for free

I have some dd just outgrew that would work for a 14mo. I have just regular, boring covers, but they work fine

Then you could get some Chinese Prefolds and fold them in 3rds into the covers

I will pm you. What does fol them in 3rd mean? I don't know if I can afford that much right now. I guess I'll have to start saving. Also, he's just barely over 19 lbs.

24 premium prefolds, 2 snappis, 4 covers (I recomend motherease AF covers because they are sooo durable and IMO fit nicely above and below their listed size range). This would be about $100 and should last from now until PT.

Also cut up some old cotton sweatshirts to make about 24 cloth wipes.

If you want to go really cheap and can sew look for mendi mama's website, sorry can someone find the link?

Wow, that sounds so easy. Why am I thinking of all these pins?

If you can sew, or know someone who can sew for you, start saving your t-shirts, flannel shirts, blue jeans, bed sheets, towels, that sort of thing, stuff that you would normally donate or throw out. Recieving blankets are great too. Then check out Mehndi Mama's website at http://www.fernandfaerie.com/frugaldiapering.html for instructions. You can easily sew up a pretty nice stash super cheap. And for covers, a wool sweater at the thrift store (at least here, anyway) is pretty cheap, and you can get 2 bum fuzzy covers and a pair of pants from each sweater.
