I am 4 weeks post partum from a precious little girl (baby number two). When pregnant the first time, I didn't feel great about myself after and didn't do much to lose weight until after her first birthday. This time I recovered a lot quicker (I only had 2.5 hours of labour this time). I have lost 25 pounds already and have another 20 to lose before being down to my prepregnancy weight......(I am also tandem nursing) I would love to meet other moms that are trying to lose weight too!

Welcome, and congratulations on your baby!

Right now, the best thing you can do is to make healthy food choices. In a few weeks, you can start to increase your activity level (going out for some walks, etc.). But, I would be very hesitant to reduce your calories too much. Remember, your milk supply is just starting to stabilize and get established (even with the tandem nursing), and you don't want to do anything to compromise it.

But, putting your babe in the sling and going for a walk is a great way to get moving just post partum!

Walking is the way to go. Double jogging strollers rule! I am still nursing a 21 month old at this point and thinking about baby #3.
