Ok. I'd really like some suggestions here. Dh is on the SCD with a sensitivity to tomatoes and eggs. That doesn't leave a lot of options. I have a cupboard full of spices (because they make me feel like an alchemist) but I am intimidated by them and usually just stick to the safe ones to avoid dh saying "something tastes weird". He's Ukrainian and hasn't been exposed to too many herbs. The latest "weird taste" was thyme in a beef stew!

Hmm...so who is a mystery...

Lets play match maker.

Rosemary?
Savory?
Marjoram?
Tarragon?

I am great friends with some--like thyme (makes me think of dark winter soups), cardomom (oh the Queen of the sweet ones), cumin (makes everything mexican), caraway (an old time favorite--awesome companion to carrots)...

I am looking for simple combinations to enhance NT foods!

Any help is greatly valued!

I love rosemary with chicken or potatoes. A unique rosemary thing to try is to steep some rosemary in hot water and then use the water to make lemonade...it is out of this world.

The other 3 herbs I don't use much, tarragon especially. The taste of that stuff gives me the willies.

(btw I totally hear you on the alchemist thing...I even went out and got little glass apothecary-looking jars for all my spices and the handmade the labels )
