Hi, I exclusively pumped breastmilk for my duaghter for 8 months she is now almost 10 months old. and i am sad about stopping pumping and would like to relactate considering the cost of milk. I used a Medela Pump in style when i pumped for her. and at begining i had a over supply. we are now home all day every day so i want to relactate is it possible? how would i go about it. I am going to target today to grab some breastmilk bottles to pump into and i was thinking if i pump every 2 hrs my milk will come back? i was thinking also getting some lanolin as i know i will be sore. Also can i even give her the breastmilk if i am on 300 mg of Wellbutrin a day. 150 in am and 150 at nite. I switched from zoloft after i stopped pumping for her and it works good. We are very strapped for money right now barely making it and i dont have any money for any mothers milk or fenegreek what else can i do? I know oatmeal but i am very constipated right now so that is gonna be hard to do.
Advice needed
thanks ladies

There are several threads on relactation. Have you seen any of them? If not post here or PM me and I will dig up the links for you.

It will be harder without the classic "galactagogues". Oatmeal could help. It does have fiber so theoretically it shouldn't be binding but I know my DD1 had trouble with Oatmeal. So we include some Bob's Red Mill whole grain, wheat, with flax hot cereal.

Other than that all you can do is eat as well as you can and get as much quality protein, fats, carbs, etc. And drink to thirst.

Finally, I have no idea why you were pumping instead of nursing. Have you considered trying again (or resuming)? Some women do get lucky and their DC will pick up where they left off or "get it" where they didn't before. Some of the threads I mention describe how to create a relaxed, low pressure environment conducive to DC nursing. E.g.: bathing together, co-sleeping, skin to skin contact, essentially bonding with DC while giving her an opportunity to "help herself". It may or may not work but it can't hurt to try.

Good luck and keep us posted. Please let me know if you want those links.
