so I'm having a hard time trying to wait to tell people!
I always wait until 3months to tell people I work with but this time around I want to tell them all right now even strangers but something in me wont let me actually tell anyone, I guess I'm scared of bad luck or something, I know its stupid

me three! i have no restraint though. i have told my family and all my friends. i work part-time and am not telling them yet because i will likely be quitting after this baby.

i understand that superstitious feeling. for me, i choose to tell loved ones because i know i'd need their support if anything went wrong. it would be even sadder to me if no one knew my babe ever even existed. but everyone is different and you should stay in your comfort zone i think.

I am giddy to tell people too, and I just found out I'm pergnant yesterday! So far only my husband, my mom, and my best friend know, but I seriously have to fight the urge to tell EVERYONE.

When do you all plan to tell your older children (those of you who have older children?)

Dd is only 11 months, so she wouldn't understand yet. I hope she does ok with a sibling; I'm a little worried, but I'm sure it'll work out.

unimatrix0 - my dd was 11mos when we concieved ds2. They can really throw down sometimes, but they also love each other and take care of each other and its really sweet.

Ive been saying since I was pg with dc3 that next time (that would be this time) Imnot telling til Im showing. Mostly so I dont have to hear from my mom who had been saying since I was pg with dc2 not to have any more.

But Ive found it very hard not to tell those who I know will be happy for us. So Ive told pretty much everyone BUT my mom. And now I'll have to tell her before someone else does.

poo.

I used to want to tell everyone, but now I'm thoroughly enjoying this wonderful little secret with my DH!
I do look forward to telling everyone, but this way I have 3 months to fully rehearse what I'm going to say to my boss, coworkers, my family, my in-laws, etc. It's all planned out and I'm excited that we gave ourselves this time of reflection.

Hey, we're only doing this once...it's gotta be perfect!

I was so stressed out about being pregnant that I wasn't going to tell anyone. I was sure people would think it was too soon. I told one of my brothers, who I trust with my feelings, and he was so happy! He smiled and giggled, and said that they were trying again too. Gosh, I felt so much better! So then I told my neighbor, and she was so happy for us, told me that I was a good mom, and that I would have so much fun! So I felt even better! Then I met someone who is a week from her due date, and in a similar situation, and she made me feel absolutely happy! I am so glad that I didn't keep it all bottled up.

we told everyone we could think of to tell within an hour of our positive pregnancy test. I guess we really like to share good news. The very first person we told was DD(7). She is soooo excited to be a big sister.

DH wanted to wait until after 12 weeks to tell everyone, but no way could I do that. I am much closer to my family than he is to his. I told my friends right away, and waited a week (as long as I could possibly stand it) to tell my family. After that he went ahead and told his family.

I know for sure I won't be waiting three months or anything like that. I show really early... with my second I had a small but noticable bump by about 6 weeks. I am a pretty small gal when I'm not prego, so any kind of belly at all and everyone guesses pretty soon.
I do, however, hope to keep it under wraps for everyone other than the immediate 'inner circle' for a couple or three more weeks.

It's so hard though! I'm dying to tell my oldest son, he's going to be so thrilled! He's wanted another baby for the past two years and he is always asking if my friends who have babies will come over so he can 'take care of the baby'.

I know it'll be crazy for a while, but I can't wait to see them grow up together.

: I totally feel the same way. I'm pretty much telling everyone in my family because I feel comfortable telling them everything. They would be super supportive in any circumstance. We're waiting to tell DH's parents, just because my MIL is a generally negative person. She has had a miscarriage in the past and I'm sure she'd bring that up and say something insensitive along the lines of it being too soon to really be sure it's going to "stick". No negative vibes are allowed at this party yet!

I can't wait to tell all our friends @ church. I think that our Pastor, who is like a dad to DH and I, is probably going to announce it this Sunday. Woohoo!

We're waiting for three months. I can't wait to tell, but we're both scared to tell people and then have something happen and have to tell everyone about that. We came really close to telling friends of ours who know that we were trying - we were at their dd's first birthday party two weekends ago, as were another couple in our group of friends. This other couple announced that she's pregnant with their first, at the same time that I was really scared that mine wasn't going to last... I guess it was obvious that I was upset, and the friend who knew we were trying wrote me a really sweet email saying she'd noticed I was upset and don't be discouraged - that it was probably hard to hear that our other friend was pregnant and be wondering when it would happen for me but that it would eventually, etc.......

We did tell my counselor, though, and that was lots of fun
Can't wait for more of that!
