I want to put the TV and VCR on electrical strip things (I already have my entire computer desk on one, and turn it off each night) so they are virtually unplugged each night. I want to be able to turn the TV, VCR and sterio system off each night - they all have lots of blinking lights and the sterio system sometimes goes into a frenzy of playing some sort of game on the display for no reason... lots of electricity going out when the silly thing isnt even in use!).<br><br>
The only problem is every time we unplug the TV, or have a power outage, we have to reprogram the TV, VCR and radio.<br><br>
Has anyone found a way around this? Reprograming the TV every time we want to watch it isn't really practical...

I can't wait to see if anyone has the answer to this one. Since we moved into our new house, the same thing is happening to me. I keep having to reprogram the TV channels through the VCR. It is driving me crazy.<br><br>
I didn't have this problem before we moved, but I didn't run the cable through the vcr. We have DirectTV and it ran through their box. Now house house is cable ready and we did have the remote from the TV anymore, so we ran it from the VCR. It is really driving me crazy.

Try calling your cable company, I'm sure they would be aware of a solution if there is one.
