a not too long birth story (its a bit too long to be quick
)

I went into labor around 7pm friday night. It was very erratic; progressing well than petering out, staying at about the same level; repeat and feel free to mix up the order

I got checked around 1:30-1:45 and was at 5cm. I was at 4cm at my bc appmnt on Wednesday. So that was quite discouraging. I decided to and lie down to see if the ctx would stop or ???

About 10 minutes after I laid down they picked up big time. Went back downstairs having huge ctx, got check and was at 9cm with a buldging bag but baby's head was still floating. This was aroung 3am

Labor was still erratic but was hurting my back something terrible. I had to have bill press hard on my back. Almost every ctx I was yelling "push" for someone to push on my back

By 6:30am I am starting to freak out. I am in an extreme amount of pain. I'm terrified there's something wrong and that why baby would not defend. She was still floating at this time. I am convinced that one of us is going to die. I had 3 transition-like episodes too; puking shakes, diarrhea but I nevr got the urge to push

I decided then that it wasn't happening and I needed to go to hospital for pain relief at the very least or more likely in my mind a section

I got to be "that woman" screaming for the drugs and to just make it stop. I got checked I was still 9cm but baby was "really low". Lots of screaming later we had a baby girl at 7:50AM. We were only there about 15 minutes!

Pushing was really hard because I was so tired and in so much pain but I did it. I had a small tear that nneded 3 stitches. The placenta detached right away and instead of the hemmorage everyone was afraid I was going to have, I bled and am bleeding very little

We named her Eden Joy
