Yesterday we went to Thyme Maternity (Canadian maternity clothes chain) and bought some nice new maternity clothes. We don't have a lot of money so I didn't get everything I wanted to but I got some and there were really good sales. I am hoping to get some more clothes when we sell our third car (which is not being driven, just fixing it up to sell it). I got a really nice red swingy dress, a black lacey tank top with a black and white skirt with asymetrical bottom, a coral shirt with under the breast ties, a new nursing bra (very comfortable!) and also three long sleeve tops. They are a light material so they are good for cool summer days but will also last into the winter. They were each originally 45 dollars Canadian and I got them each for 10 dollars a piece! One is a funky pattern - burgandys, pinks and black, one is kind of a peasant shirt in mauve and one is lilac with a criss cross over the breast area. I am very excited to get new maternity clothes as everything I had for my other two was used. I will have to post some pics of me in my nice new duds when we get home (away at the inlaws right now).

i would love to see pics!! of course, i am a sucker for new clothes!!

i broke out some of my maternity tank tops from last time last night - and they fit me!! (but only at the end of the day...you know like when you get "more pregnant" for whatever reason :LOL ). they were small tank tops that shrunk in the dryer, so they are small, but my tummy is definitely starting to poke them out in the evening time!!

Oh good for you! I am paranoid to buy anything at all. I bought a pair of pants right before my m/c and felt like I jinxed myself or something. I have lots of stretchy pants though since that's about all I wear

I'm with you Sleepymama~I haven't bought anything yet. We aren't planning on telling people until 12 weeks, and I think it will set in more then. I have been lurking around Baby Gap, Zutano, and Motherhood though
. It's hard not to look!

Well, I have a few things, but I am in DIRE need of some comfortable summer attire...I purposely didn't buy any summerwear that wasn't maternity, but I'm not really big enough for maternity either...I want to see pics of what you bought!

Yeah, I bought a few things at Old Navy today too (the one by my house carried maternity). Obviously I'm not wearing it yet, but they had some really cute things on SALE and I just couldn't pass it up. Last pregnancy I waited until I absolutely could not wear my regular clothes another day, but when I went to get maternity clothes it was Spring and I was at the mercy of whatever colors were in the stores right then.
: So I ended up with a bunch of bubblegum pink shirts and icky icky pastels that made me look sick and even more pasty than I was.
So this time I decided to just pick up a thing here and there as I find things I like as they are on sale. Plus I will be in maternity through the winter, which I was not last time, so I need to get some warmer clothes, and winter stuff is all on clearance now, so...

I tried to go shopping today, but after 3 stores I had found ZERO shorts/pants that were not the low-rise under-belly-band kind. I know those will not work for me at all. WHY doesn't anyone carry regular stretchy-belly shorts and pants anymore?? So I went shopping on ebay and bid on several pairs of shorts, pants and overalls, and hopefully if I win the bids they'll actually fit. My regular capri pants that I wear all the time are suddenly too tight today when I sit or bend, so I've got to get something pretty quickly! And I'll be needing some big ol' granny panties pretty soon, too... :LOL
