I have a viral infection and it now might be bacterial. My doctor said it was okay to take antibiotics that won't affect my breastmilk? Does anyone have an opinion about that? He also said I could take Sudafed but I heard antihistimines dry up the breast milk!

You and baby may both be more prone to yeast/thrush type problems on the antibiotic, but other than that, they're generally considered safe while nursing. I'd definitely get a probiotic supp (probably different ones) for both of you and continue it for several weeks beyond the antibiotic. Not sure about Sudafed.

To add on to what TanyaLopez wrote: Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) does dry up milk. Most women I have heard talking about it say that their supply toook a hit when they took it.
