I'm very pleased to announce that we just started an ICAN chapter here in Chattanooga to be an available resource for information and support to this region. This includes N. GA also, of course!

For those of you who aren't familiar with ICAN it stands for International Cesarean Awareness Network. We are an organization that promotes natulal birth, VBAC, and provides support to women looking for good providers, doulas, cesarean recovery support, or just information about birth in general! ICAN has been instrumental in my own emotional recovery from my cesarean. It is a powerful organization for change in the birth community! A valuable resource for almost any woman of childbearing age. If you are interested in anything birth related, this is a great group to be a part of!

I've been told that there were a few mama's who would be closer to Chattanooga who traveled all the way to Atlanta to participate in ICAN meetings. If any of you have done this, you don't have to anymore!

ICAN of Chattanooga is having our first meeting on December 7th, at 6:30pm. We're meeting at Pasha Coffee & Tea in St. Elmo (a neighborhood in Chattanooga).
